Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Mother's Day Gift Guide | Meghan June

Mother’s Day is just a few weeks away so I’m getting a head start on brainstorming gift ideas. This will be my second Mother’s Day as a mom myself and, while gifts are always fun, Mother’s Day is about so much more. Being a mom is a wonderful job, but can be a challenging and often overlooked job as well. Mother’s Day is the perfect time to pause and appreciate all the mamas in your life. And it’s also a time to pause and appreciate yourself. I’ve pulled together some of my favorite thoughtful gifts and gestures to shower the mother figures in your life (and yourself) with a little love and luxury this Mother’s Day.

Mother’s Day Gift Guide

  • Sustainably-Produced Olive Oil – For the chef mama who has too much stuff, olive oil is always good choice. Brightland Olive Oil comes in a beautiful bottle and is consciously crafted and sourced from small family farms in California. I also love supporting small olive oil producers. Long Meadow Ranch and McEvoy Ranch are two of my favorites.
  • Spa Day – The best Mother’s Day gift I’ve ever given my mom was a spa day for the two of us. We’ve decided to make it a tradition! Choose a spa where you can use all the amenities, even if you just get a pedicure.
  • Ethically-Produced Chocolate – I’m pretty sure every mom has a secret chocolate stash. I love Maine’s female-owned Bixby Chocolates (ships nationwide) and Boulder, Colorado-based Chocolove (found in most grocery stores). Both use ethically-sourced cocoa beans and ingredients.
  • Flowers in a Monogrammed Vase – Flowers are always an excellent gift. I love to create my own arrangements from the flowers at Trader Joe’s. Make the gift extra special with a monogrammed vase from Mark and Graham. You can also set up a weekly flower delivery subscription with a local florist or CSA.
  • Candle – You can’t get more luxurious than a Diptyque candle. These candles are wildly popular for a reason – elegant packaging and smell amazing. But Diptyque is definitely a higher price point. For a slightly more affordable option, my all-time favorite candle is the Floraco Magnolia Mint.
  • Homemade Cookies on a Pretty Platter – Keep it simple with homemade cookies on a cute serving platter.

P.S. My favorite sustainable and ethical gifts.
